certifiedFREQ is a music magazine out of Texas. We cover the records, the artists making them, the business that decides what reaches you, and the culture all three keep shaping in each other’s image.
How Scoring Works
Everything is scored out of 10, in tenths. Nothing under a 7 gets published.
The Certified Ten is the top ten tracks of the month, ranked by score.
Who Gets Covered
R&B is home base. Rap, alternative and anything in that orbit gets covered when it catches our attention.
So does everything artists build once the music is out: the restaurants, the liquor, the beauty lines, the deals. Plus the industry news behind all of it, which is usually where the real story is.
The Rest Of It
The radio show FREQ FM, the podcast On The Aux, and the YouTube channel are all coming as the magazine gets built out. In the meantime, The Rotation is live and worth leaving on.
